Four more deaths of dengue were reported in the past 24 hours till Wednesday morning, raising the total number of deaths from the mosquito-borne disease to 242 this year.
During this period, 758 more patients were hospitalised with the viral fever, bringing the total number of cases to 57,105, according to the Directorate General of Health Services.
The new deaths were reported in Dhaka South City Corporation and Barishal division.
Currently, 2,655 patients are undergoing treatment at various hospitals across the country.
Dengue claimed the lives of 575 people in the past year.
The DGHS recorded 1,01,214 dengue cases and 1,00,040 recoveries during the same period.
