Nuzia Rasin Rasha, the common room, reading room and cafeteria secretary candidate from Protirodh Parishad panel for DUCSU elections, alleged on Tuesday noon that their polling agents could not enter into several centres in time because the election authority didn鈥檛 provide them with their specific identity cards.
She added that one of the panel鈥檚 polling agents, Maruful Islam, could not enter the Udayan School and College centre, as his identity card had the wrong photograph.
Moreover, she said Protirodh Parishad asked for 54 polling agents but was granted 21.
Shotontro Sikkharthi Oikko Panel鈥檚 career development secretary, Rupaiya Shrestha Tanchangya alleged that several centres, including the Geography Department centre in Dhaka University鈥檚 Curzon area, had no polling agents for her.
She said she had submitted a list of eight agents, but the returning officer approved only two, leaving many centres without her polling agents.
A supporter of the panel, seeking anonymity, told 抖阴精品 that the absence of polling agents was unfortunate. Every candidate was supposed to have polling agents at centres, but the administration had failed to ensure that.
