The Criminal Investigation Department on Sunday arrested content creator Tawhid Afridi in a murder case related to the July Uprising.
A CID team arrested him during a drive in Barishal on Sunday, said a CID press release.
鈥楬e is the 11th named accused in the murder case filed with Jatrabari police station,鈥� the release read.
Earlier, Tawhid鈥檚 father, Md Nasir Uddin, chairman of the private TV channel My TV, was arrested on August 17 in the same case and later sent to jail.
In August of the past year, the case was filed against 25 individuals, including ousted prime minister Sheikh Hasina, former road transport and bridges minister Obaidul Quader, My TV chairman Nasir and his son, content creator Tawhid Afridi.
