
An oxygen cylinder blast triggered a fire at Momota Clinic in the Lalkhan Bazar area of Chattogram city on Friday afternoon.
No casualties were reported in the incident.
According to the Chattogram Fire Service and Civil Defence, the blast occurred at around 3:00pm due to an oxygen cylinder leakage.
Two firefighting units from the Agrabad fire station rushed to the scene and managed to bring the blaze under control at around 4:45pm, officials said.
Chattogram Fire Service and Civil Defence deputy assistant director, Md Abdur Razzak, said, ‘As soon as smoke was detected, the clinic authorities promptly relocated patients to another unit and no one injured in the incident.’
