A woman faced harrasment on Tuesday when she protested against her photos taken without permission on Green Road in the capital.
The victim filed a complaint with the Kalabgan police station on Tuesday night against two named and 8 to 10 unnamed individuals.
Kalabagan police station officer-in-charge Md Fazle Ashiq said that they would take necessary legal action against the perpetrators.
In the complaint, the victim alleged that a security guard of a nearby building took her photos without her permission when she was having tea at a stall in the area at about 4:00pm.
She immediately protested and an altercation occurred between them.
Later, the victim managed to check the guard鈥檚 phone and found her photos taken on Monday and the previous days in the phone gallery, according to the complaint.
When she tried to delete the photos, the guard obstructed her and even physically assaulted her.
She managed to escape from there but a mob gathered there and threatened her.
She later sought help from the law enforcers, alleging that the mob threatened her in the presence of law enforcement members.
Later, a team from Kalabagan police station went to the spot and took her away.
