
Daffodil International University Astrophysics Centre celebrated the 100th anniversary of the planetarium show organising an event titled DIUAPC Planetarium Show 2025 at the university in Dhaka.
The day-long event featured five separate sessions of immersive 360° planetarium shows, each accommodating around 40 participants, including students, faculty members, and administrative staffs, said a press release on Thursday.
The participants experienced visual journeys of galaxies, constellations and the mysteries of deep space through the shows.
DIU vice-chancellor M Lutfar Rahman was present at the event and appreciated the initiative taken by the DIU astrophysics centre.
The event was organised by the DIU Astrophysics Centre, in collaboration with Creative Wings, and managed by the DIUAPC Student Forum.
Speaking on the occasion, DIU Astrophysics Centre director Arif Ahmed announced, ‘A permanent planetarium facility is being planned on the DIU campus, which will play a vital role in popularising astronomy and space research across the country.’
