Maryam Noor Yunus, Head of Smart Innovations School, has been announced a finalist for the 2025 Women Changing the World Asia Awards.
The Women Changing the World Asia Awards recognise women achieving outstanding success in areas such as sustainability, humanitarian impact, leadership, advocacy, entrepreneurship, product development, education, health, and innovation across the Asian region.
Maryam Noor Yunus is an experienced educator, former academic advisor for Cambridge schools in Bangladesh, and school leader with nearly three decades of experience in curriculum design, teacher training, and educational leadership.
She has founded schools and created meaningful learning pathways that empower teachers and students alike. Her work focuses on transforming education through innovative curriculum design, inclusive teaching practices, and building schools that foster holistic development.
She is dedicated to nurturing students who are not only academically competent but also socially responsible, empathetic, and capable of leading positive change in their communities.
Alongside this recognition, over the years, Maryam Noor Yunus has also been crowned with Woman of Influence Award in the UK and her work in education has seen her bagging International awards honouring her with Iconic English Teacher award, Best Principal Award, Innovation in Education Award, Global Teacher Award and many more.
She has also been named among the top 60 teachers of the world by Cambridge University Press in 2023.
The vision for these awards by WCWA is to empower women everywhere and call-in women across the globe to unite and pave the way towards a better future for all. The award ceremony for the winners will be held in Paris in 2026.
