Pearson convened the Principal Network Meet 2025 at Le M茅ridien Dhaka in the capital on Sunday, bringing together education leaders to address critical challenges in supporting learners with disabilities and promoting mental health in schools.
Abdullah Al Mamun Liton, regional development manager of Pearson Bangladesh and Nepal, and Jannatul Ferdous Sigma, regional development manager of Pearson Bangladesh, inaugurated the event, said a press release.
Around 200 principals from English medium schools from all over Bangladesh attended the event.
Maxim Raimann, exams director Bangladesh, British Council, spoke about the need for fair and accessible assessment for all learners.
Kathryn Booth, director of Pearson School Qualifications, discussed the patterns of global learners and the role of Peason in shaping the learner鈥檚 future, sharing the updates and initiatives of Peason Edexcel.聽
The conference centred on two themes. The session, Spotlight on Inclusion: Supporting Learners with Special Needs, examined practical approaches for educators to ensure accessibility and meaningful participation for all students, regardless of their learning challenges.
Sabrina shaheed, principal of Sir John Wilson School also discussed on how they supported learners with disabilities for an inclusive learning environment.
This was followed by a panel discussion exploring student well-being and mental health in the 21st century school, which brought together education leaders who addressed the concerns around psychological support systems in academic institutions.
A major highlight of the event was the presentation of the Outstanding Pearson School Awards 2025, where 36 schools were awarded the Pearson School Award for their academic excellence.
