Bangladesh Medical University, Bangladesh Perinatal Society and Bangladesh Neonatal Forum jointly organised an event to celebrate the World Prematurity Day 2025 at the BMU in Dhaka on Thursday.
In collaboration with ICDDR,B and Prajanma Research Foundation, the programme started with a rally on the university campus, said a press release.
The rally was attended by BMU treasurer Professor Dr Nahrin Akhtar, faculty of paediatrics dean Professor Dr Atiar Rahman, Professor Dr Syeda Tabassum Alam, paediatric haematology oncology department chairperson Professor Dr Anwarul Karim, Professor Dr Tabassum, Professor Dr Sukhmoy Kangsa Banik, Professor Dr Sanjay Kumar Dey, assistant professor Dr Md Atiar Rahman, associate professor Dr Tarek Reza Ali, UNICEF health manager Dr Dewan Md Emdadul Haque, Orbis International鈥檚 Dr Monir Hossain and Nura Health鈥檚 Dr Mahbub, among others.
The programme also featured a scientific session. Moderated by Dr Sadeka Chowdhury Moni, the session was chaired by BMU neonatology department chairperson Professor.
Professor MAK Azad Chowdhury, Professor Hosne Ara Begum, Professor Sufia Khatun, Professor Begum Sharifun Nahar, Professor Tabassum Parveen and Professor Mujibur Rahman, among others, participated in the discussion.
