Gazipur Agricultural University celebrated National Livestock Week 2025 with a programme providing free veterinary care and vaccination services at its Veterinary Teaching Hospital in Gazipur on Friday.
Farmers and animal lovers thronged the campus, bringing the hospital to life with enthusiasm, said a press release.
The programme, held in two sessions, was inaugurated by GAU vice-chancellor Professor GKM Mustafizur Rahman.

He expressed a vision of establishing GAU’s veterinary hospital as the nation’s premier facility.
Throughout the day, faculty and intern students provided expert diagnosis, medical advice, deworming, vitamins, necessary medications and preventive vaccinations.
A total of 65 cows, 105 goats and sheep, 225 poultry, 23 cats, 12 dogs, 13 pigeons and 8 pet birds received treatment in just one day.
