A technical malfunction at Cloudflare on Tuesday caused parts of the Internet to go down, leaving many users unable to access popular platforms, including X (formerly Twitter).
Cloudflare, a key internet infrastructure provider that helps keep websites secure and functional during heavy traffic or cyberattacks, confirmed it was probing the issue.
鈥楥loudflare is aware of, and investigating an issue which potentially impacts multiple customers: widespread 500 errors, Cloudflare Dashboard and API also failing,鈥� the company said in an update. 鈥榃e are continuing to investigate this issue.鈥�
Users affected by the outage reported seeing notices of an 鈥榠nternal server error on Cloudflare鈥檚 network,鈥� with prompts asking them to 鈥榩lease try again in a few minutes.鈥�
