Asadullah Hil Galib claimed 6-21 as Mymensingh beat Chattogram by 251 runs after bowling them out with their lowest ever total of 59 runs at the Bir Shreshtha Shaheed Flight Lieutenant Matiur Rahman Cricket Stadium in Chattogram in the fourth round fixture of the National Cricket League on Monday.聽
Earlier, Ashraful Hasan scalped 6-73 to help Chattogram restrict Mymensingh to 232 runs in the second innings to set a target of 311 runs. Azizul Hakim top-scored for Mymensingh with 66 runs.聽
However, Chattogram started to crumble as they lost two wickets in the first two overs. Asadullah continued to demolish Chattogram with the help of his skipper, Shuvagata Hom鈥攚ho grabbed three鈥攆rom the other end.
Chattogram were bundled out in 20.1 overs as Mymensingh completed the triumph inside three days.聽
Mukidul Islam鈥檚 five-for and opener Mim Mosaddek鈥檚 80 helped Rangpur to beat Barishal by eight wickets at the Shahid Chandu Stadium in Bogura.聽
Resuming the day on 90-7 in the second innings, Barishal scored 141 to set Rangpur a target of 136 runs. Mukidul took 5-53, while Rishad Hossain took three for Rangpur.聽
Mim then laid the perfect foundation for Rangpur with a 61-run opening partnership with Jahid Javed before adding another 62 runs with Nobin Islam to take them closer to victory.聽
Mim struck 12 fours in his innings before Nobin finished it off for Rangpur with an unbeaten knock of 42 as Barishal suffered their second defeat in four matches.聽
Tanzid Hasan鈥檚 unbeaten run-a-ball 84 helped Rajshahi to take a 67-run lead with eight wickets in hand at the Rajshahi Divisional Stadium against Dhaka.聽
They scored 151-2 in 32 overs as Pritom Kumar remained unbeaten on 40 off 45. Tanzid struck five fours and four sixes in his innings.
Earlier, Taibur Rahman was stranded on 96 as Dhaka made 382 in the second innings.聽
Resuming the day on 252-4, Dhaka batted for two more sessions on the third day as Taibur continued to frustrate Rajshahi. However, he ran out of partners when last batter Salauddin Shakil was trapped lbw.聽
Sylhet were 48 runs ahead with three wickets remaining in the first innings against Khulna thanks to Zakir Hasan鈥檚 78 and Mubin Ahmed鈥檚 71 after the completion of the second day at the Outer Ground of the Sylhet International Stadium.
In reply to Khulna鈥檚 259, Zakir and Mubin added 141 runs for the opening partnership for Sylhet. However, after they fell in a space of nine overs, wickets kept falling at regular intervals.聽
Sofor Ali, Abdul Halim, and Mehedi Hasan Rana each took two wickets for Khulna.聽
