A group of unruly people hurled two crude bombs at a Grameen Bank branch in Sreepur upazila of Gazipur district on early Sunday.
Although no one was injured, the bank鈥檚 signboard was damaged in the attack.
Area manager Md Abdur Razzak said that the branch manager and four staff members were asleep inside the bank after finishing their daily work when a loud bang at about 2:15am woke them.
Upon stepping outside, they discovered the two petrol bombs.
Officer-in-charge Md Abdul Bari of Sreepur Police Station said that the authorities were investigating the attack and working to arrest those responsible.
