Four hundred and sixty new dengue patients were hospitalised across the country during the last 24 hours.
Of the newly patients, 55 were admitted in Barishal sivision, 125 in Chattogram, 71 in Dhaka division, outside city corporations, 145 in Dhaka North City Corporation, 26 in Dhaka South City Corporation, 33 in Mymensingh and 5 in Sylhet division.
During the period, 512 dengue patients were released from hospitals after recovery, raising the total number of recoveries this year to 79,460, said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services on Friday.
No new dengue-related deaths were recorded during this period, keeping the death toll unchanged at 326.
So far in 2025, 83,066 dengue cases have been recorded, of which 61.1 per cent are male and 38.9 per cent female, the DGHS release added.
Last year, the number of cases rose to 1,01,214, while 575 deaths from the dengue disease were reported.
