Bangladesh鈥檚 silver medal winning paddlers Khoi Khoi Sai Marma and Javed Ahmed returned home from Saudi Arabia on Friday, a day after they finished second in the mixed doubles table tennis event of the sixth Islamic Solidarity Games in Riyadh.

Bangladesh pair Khoi Khoi and Javed finished second after losing the final against Turkish pair of Si虈bel Altinkaya and I虈brahi虈m Gunduz by 3-0 sets.聽


They confirmed the first silver for Bangladesh in the ongoing Games after beating Bahrain pair of Rashed and Kenda Mohamed by 3-1 sets in the semi-final.

In the semi-final, Bangladeshi pair started strongly by winning the first game by 13-11 points against Bahraini duo before Bahrain levelled the match by taking the second game by 11-7 points.

Bangladesh regained the control with a close 12-10 win in the third game and sealed the victory with a dominant 11-3 point win in the fourth game, setting up their final tie against Turkey.
