The Shahjalal University of Science and Technology administration has fixed November 18 for the students to become a voter in the upcoming Central Students’ Union elections.
The information was circulated in an urgent notification issued by the university registrar Syed Salim Mohammad Abdul Kadir on Wednesday noon.Â
The notification also instructed the students to pay all of their fees by this time to be a voter.
According to the constitution of the Shahjalal University Central Students’ Union, a student must have to pay his semester fees, course fees, credit fees and all hall-related fees, including arrears, in the stipulated time to become eligible as a voter in the SUCSU and Hall Students’ Union election, the notice stated.
Earlier on Tuesday afternoon, the university administration launched the SUCSU menu on the university website to manage the upcoming elections.
From the SUCSU menu of the website, students can see important information including the election commission, constitution, schedule, voter list, candidate list, guidelines, code of conduct, layout of voting booths, results and notifications, the authorities said.
