Juairiya Ferdous hit an unbeaten half-century as Rangpur beat Sylhet by 66 runs in their Women鈥檚 National Cricket League T20 match at the BKSP Ground-3 on Sunday.
In her 85-run innings, Juairiya smashed seven boundaries and five sixes as Rangpur scored 140-4 after opting to bat first before bundling out Sylhet for just 74.
For Sylhet, medium-pacer Shorifa Khatun claimed 3-16, while Lucky Khatun returned with 2-17.
In the afternoon match at the same venue, Mymensingh beat Dhaka by 47 runs.
Batting first, Mymensingh posted 156-7 in 20 overs, with Shorna Akter, Farzana Akter and Sumaiya Akter scoring 47, 43 and 31 runs, respectively.
In reply, Dhaka could only make 109-7 in the stipulated overs, with Farzana Yeasmin making 33 and wicket-keeper batter Unnoti Akter scoring 20. Tithi Rani Sarker claimed 3-15 for Mymensingh.
At the BKSP Ground-4, Khulna defeated Rajshahi by 26 runs. Skipper Rumana Ahmed made a composed 40-ball 42 to help Khulna post 118-4 before bowlers Misty Rani (3-20) and Afia Asima Era (2-13) restricted Rajshahi to 92-9.
Jannatul Fardaus scored 24, skipper Ritu Moni 16 and Mst Eva made 15 runs for Rajshahi.
Chattogram emerged victorious over Barishal by 29 runs in a low-scoring match at the same venue.
Opting to bat first, Barishal managed just 94-6, with Fahima Khatun making a resilient 44 off 39.
Barishal batters wobbled early and were bowled out for 65 runs. Sumi Akter (13) was the only batter to reach double figures.
Fatema Jahan (2-13) and Lima Khatun (2-9) picked up two wickets apiece for the port city outfits.
