The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh successfully organised the first-ever ‘Accounting Day Run 2025’ at Hatirjheel, Dhaka, to mark International Accounting Day with the inspiring theme ‘Fitness Meets Accounting.’

The Dhaka Regional Committee of ICAB hosted this signature event with over 1,800 participants, including 300 Chartered Accountants, 600 CA students, and others. Featuring a 7.5 km competitive run and a 1 km fun run for kids and moms, the event fostered health, unity, and professional excellence.


The event featured a 7.5 km run and a 1 km fun run with a red-carpet finish, medals, and breakfast, drawing participants from across Bangladesh and abroad, including France, Canada, India, Malaysia, and Sierra Leone.

Adding to the festivity, popular educator Ayman Sadiq and Ironman athlete Shamsuzzaman Arafat joined the event, inspiring participants with their energy and words of encouragement.

The event was graced by the presence of ICAB past president Muhammed Farhad Hussain FCA, AF Nesaruddin FCA, ICAB council members, DRC chairman Mahmudur Rahman FCA, event director Asifur Rahman FCA, event convenor Sk Md Tarikul Islam FCA, event chairman Maksodur Rahman FCA, DRC member Kamruzzaman FCA and other esteemed members of the DRC.

Runners competed in categories such as CA Elite, CA Amateur, CA Students, and General Participants, with Champion, 1st Runner-Up, and 2nd Runner-Up winners in each group receiving attractive prizes and crests.

The Accounting Day Run 2025 is expected to become an annual flagship event, reflecting ICAB’s commitment to holistic development, balancing career, community, and health.
