A construction worker was killed after falling from the third floor of an under construction building in the Borotek area at Badda in Dhaka on Wednesday.
The deceased, Al Amin, 26, was a mason.
According to the victim鈥檚 elder brother, Nazrul Islam, the family hails from Hizla in Barishal.
In-charge of Dhaka Medical College and Hospital police outpost inspector Mohammad Faruk confirmed the incident.
Al Amin was rescued in critical condition by his co-workers and taken to the DMCH emergency department where doctors declared him dead at around 6:30pm.
Inspector Faruk said that the body had been sent to the DMCH morgue for an autopsy and the matter had been reported to the relevant police station.
