The concluding workshop of the project titled Productivity Enhancement of Mustrad-Boro-T Aman Cropping System in Bangladesh held at the Bangladesh Rice Research Institute in Gazipur on Tuesday.
The workshop was organised by the Rice Farming Systems Division of BRRI with the funding of the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations, said a press release.
BRRI director general Mohammad Khalequzzaman was present as the chief guest in the workshop, which was presided over by BRRI director, research, Md Rafiqul Islam.
Gazipur Agricultural University pro-vice-chancellor Professor M Mainul Haque, FAO consultant Professor Parimal Kanti Bishwas, Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University professor AKM Ruhul Amin, Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute director Manjurul Qadir, SAARC Agricultural Centre director Md. Harunur Rashid, additional director of the Department of Agricultural Extension Md Jamal Uddin and former chief scientific officer of BRRI鈥檚 RFS department Muhammad Nasim were present as special guests at the workshop.
The keynote address was presented by chief scientific officer and head of BRRI鈥檚 RFS department Md Ibrahim.
Representatives from various universities, Department of Agricultural Extension, Bangladesh Agricultural Research Council, Bangladesh Agricultural Development Corporation, Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute and various related institutions and farmer representatives participated in the workshop.
