The Netherlands embassy in Dhaka and VFS Global have launched a new, state-of-the-art Netherlands Visa Application Centre in Banani of the capital to enhance visa services for Bangladeshi travellers.
Netherlands ambassador to Bangladesh Joris van Bommel on Monday inaugurated the centre that will facilitate short-stay, C-category, and Caribbean visa applications from Bangladeshi citizens.
Applicants can book appointments online and submit applications at the new facility from November 2, said a press release.  Â
Ambassador van Bommel said the initiative reflects the Netherlands’ commitment to strengthening bilateral relations and people-to-people connectivity.
‘Bangladesh continues to be an important partner for the Netherlands, with growing people-to-people, business, and educational exchanges,’ he said, adding ‘The new centre marks a key step in providing travellers with a convenient, efficient, and modern visa experience.’
A VFS Global spokesperson said that the modern centre would ensure a seamless and enhanced experience for applicants while supporting stronger bilateral engagement.
Applicants may access additional services such as courier delivery and SMS alerts, though these do not affect visa decisions or processing time.
VFS Global will handle administrative and biometric tasks only, while the Netherlands ministry of foreign affairs in The Hague remains solely responsible for visa decisions.
Located at Borak Mehnur, Level 7, 51/B Kemal Ataturk Avenue, Banani, Dhaka-1213, the centre operates Sunday to Thursday, 9:00am to 5:00pm.
