Habibur Rahman鈥檚 steady 62 led Rajshahi to a seven-wicket victory over Khulna at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium on the third day of their second-round fixture of the ongoing National Cricket League on Monday.

Rajshahi were set a target of 108 after Khulna were bowled out for 255 in the second innings.

Having started the day at 68-1 and with 79 runs behind, Khulna kept losing wickets at regular intervals. Mehidy Hasan Miraz held the fort for a while with his 48-run innings in the middle, but they were all out in the third session.

Nahid Rana and Ali Mohammad took three wickets each, while Meherob Hasan and Sunzamul Islam each grabbed two.

Sabbir Hosan and Habibur then added 73 runs for the opening partnership as Rajshahi were looking to finish the game quickly. Habibur struck four fours and three sixes as Rajshahi reached the target in 23.5 overs.

In another game, Mushfiqur Rahim remained unbeaten on 93 to lead Sylhet鈥檚 fightback against Dhaka at the Outer Ground of the Sylhet Stadium.

Sylhet were 50 runs behind in the first innings after the completion of the third day, as they scored 260-7 in 91.4 overs.

Starting the day at 33-0, Sylhet slipped to 118-5 before Mushfiq added 94 and 41 runs with Shahanur Rahman (30) and Tofael Ahmed (27) for the sixth and seventh wickets, respectively.

Ripon Mondol, Anamul Haque, and Nazmul Islam each took two wickets for Dhaka.

Only 15 overs were possible due to the wet outfield at the Cox鈥檚 Bazar International Stadium as Barishal added 41 runs without losing any wickets against Chattogram.

They reached 166-2 at stumps and were trailing by 192 runs, with Salman Hossain remaining unbeaten on 75 runs and Zahiduzzaman Khan on 32.

However, the entire day was abandoned due to a wet outfield at the Academy Ground of Cox鈥檚 Bazar Stadium in the match between Mymensingh and Rangpur.

In reply to Mymensingh鈥檚 555-6, Rangpur were 18-2. Mahfizul Islam, Mohammad Naim, and Abdul Mazid made hundreds for Mymensingh in the first innings.
