Bangladesh Coast Guard in a press release on Sunday said that they arrested 11 smugglers while smuggling cement to Myanmar.
The Coast Guard outpost Patenga conducted a special operation in the outer anchorage sea area of 鈥嬧�婥hatogram on Friday and seized 1,500 bags of cement and two boats used for smuggling to Myanmar.
The seized goods and the boat are under process of being handed over to Sadarghat river police and the arrested smugglers to Karnaphuli model police station for further legal action.
