ACI Motors Limited on Monday set a Guinness record by delivering 350 units of Sonalika Tractors to farmers in a single day at Trade Fair Ground adjacent to Gor-e-Shaheed Central Eidgah Maidan in Dinajpur, under ‘Sonalikar Bisshojoy’ theme, said a press release.
This remarkable mega event has earned ACI Motors and Bangladesh enrolment in the Guinness World Records. ACI Motors deputy managing director Subrata Ranjan Das presided over the programme.
Gaurav Saxena, director and chief executive officer — international business of International Tractors Limited, was present as chief guest.
Among others, Md Asif Uddin, chief business officer of ACI Motors, Md Rafiqul Islam, deputy commissioner of Dinajpur, senior officials, valued customers and tractor drivers were present.
Over the past 18 years of partnership with Sonalika, ACI Motors has played a pivotal role in advancing agricultural mechanization in Bangladesh. The company currently holds over 50 per cent market share in the country’s tractor industry, maintaining its leadership position, the release said.
This world record stands not only as a proud achievement for ACI Motors, but also as a gift of pride to the farmers of Bangladesh from ACI Motors, it added.
