The deep depression over Southeast Bay and adjoining area intensified into a cyclonic storm Montha over southwest Bay and adjoining southeast Bay of Bengal at about 3:00am on Monday.
It is likely to move west-northwestwards further and intensify further, said a Met Office bulletin.
It may cross Andhra Pradesh coast of India around evening or night of October 28, 2025.
Its associated trough extends up to North Bay.
Rain or thunder showers is likely at one or two places over Rajshahi, Rangpur and Mymensingh divisions in 24 hours commencing 9:00am on Monday.
Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country.
Day temperature may fall slightly and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
