Mutual Trust Bank PLC, in collaboration with Visa, launched the country鈥檚 first multipurpose student card, said a press release.
The bank recently launched the card at Pundra University of Science and Technology in Bogura as part of a nationwide 鈥楥ashless Bangladesh鈥� awareness programme.
The innovative card combines a student ID and payment card into one, enabling seamless digital payments across campus canteens, libraries and merchant points.
Bangladesh Bank Payment Systems Department director Rafeza Akhter Kanta presided over the event.
Bangladesh Bank executive director Arief Hossain Khan led the inauguration.
