
Trust Bank PLC and the Bangladesh Bank jointly organised a month-long entrepreneurship development programme under the Skill for Industry Competitiveness and Innovation Programme.
Finance Division of the finance ministry implemented the programme with the support from the Asian Development Bank to enhance entrepreneurial skill in the hilly region.Â
The closing ceremony of the training programme was held on October 13 at Rangamati Chamber Bhaban.
At the ceremony, total 25 entrepreneurs, of whom 23 were women, received certificates and awards. Â
Nawshad Mustafa, director — SME and Special Programmes Division at the Bangladesh Bank, attended the event as chief guest.
Trust Bank SEVP and training academy principal Brigadier General (retired) Shamsuzzaman chaired the event.
Trust Bank SEVP and business division head Md Mahboob Hossain, Bangladesh Bank SICIP deputy programme director Md Ayub Ali, deputy director Md Ariful Islam and Trust Bank SVP and SME division head Sadat Ahmed Khan also attended the ceremony.Â
Speakers at the event said that such initiatives promoted self-employment, women entrepreneurship and inclusive economic growth, contributing to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals.
