
The 27th edition of the National Cricket League four-day version is set to begin on October 25 as the tournament committee of the Bangladesh Cricket Board announced the itinerary on Wednesday.Â
The first two rounds of the league will be played with Kookaburra balls while the Duke balls will be used for the rest of the season.Â
The BCB said that the move was made with an aim of ‘supporting player preparation for upcoming international red ball commitments and as per the suggestions from the BCB Cricket Operations’.Â
Mymensingh Division will play their first ever NCL replacing Dhaka Metro. The decision was approved by the BCB Board during its 20th meeting held on August 9.Â
In the opening round, defending champion Sylhet will take on Mymensingh at the Sylhet International Stadium starting on October 25.Â
Dhaka and Rangpur will play at Sylhet outer ground, Khulna and Barishal will meet at Khulna Divisional Stadium, while Rajshahi will host Chattogram at the Rajshahi Divisional Stadium. These matches are scheduled to start on October 26, 27, and 29, respectively.
