Pubali Bank PLC on Tuesday donated a bus for students of Government Saadat College at Karatia in Tangail as part of its social responsibility, said a press release.

Pubali Bank managing director and chief executive officer Mohammad Ali as chief guest handed over the key to Government Saadat College principal Mohd Moniruzzaman Miah at an event oon the day.


Morshed Ali Khan Panni, a member of founding family of the college and a former member of parliament, was present as guest of honour.

Government Saadat College vice-principal Subrata Kumar Saha, Pubali Bank deputy general manager and head of ADC division Md Rabiul Alam, Tangail region head and deputy general manager Mohammad Bellal Hossain and secretary of the college’s Teachers’ Council Md Abdullah Talukder were present as special guests.

Md Mosharraf Hossain, transport committee convener and associate professor of economics department, delivered welcome speech.

Among others, Pubali Bank assistant general manager Mohammad Mizanur Rahman was present at the event.

Mohammad Ali said that Pubali Bank did not do business only to earn profit, but also had a sense of social responsibility. In this context, Pubali Bank has provided a bus as a donation to Government Saadat College, he said.

He said that this donation would serve as a bridge of friendship and harmony between the two traditional institutions in the coming days and a symbol of mutual cooperation.
