The five-day Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industries Corporation Sharat Fair inaugurated at the BSCIC at Tejgaon in Dhaka on Sunday.

BSCIC chairperson Md Saiful Islam inaugurated the fair at 10:00am, said a press release.


The entire premises have become colourful with the display of products made by small and cottage industry entrepreneurs from different parts of the country.

Forty-three stalls of various handicrafts and cottage industry products, including textiles, pottery, jute, dolls, blocks, leather, jewellery, needlework, bamboo and rattan have been set up in the fair.

Of these, 40 stalls have been allocated for entrepreneurs, 2 stalls for BSCIC Design Centre and 1 stall for entrepreneurs trained from the Design Centre.

The fair will be open from 10:00am to 8:00pm every day. There is no entry fee.
