The police conducted a raid at a duck farm at Kauria Awliapara under Jhikargachha upazila in Jashore Friday night and seized a large number of locally-made sharp weapons, uniforms of the police, illegal drugs and other equipment used for robbery in the area.
They also detained three people 鈥� Mahbubur Rahman and Hasibul Islam of Jhikargachha and Yunus Ali of Moniramur upazila of the district from the spot, the police said.
The Jashore district additional superintendent of police, Abul Bashar, said that they began the raid at about 10:00pm and seized a huge number of sharp weapons, some uniforms of the police, illegal drugs, walky-talkies, toy pistol, a weighing scale, some handsaw-blades and many other things used for robbery from the spot.
He said that the miscreants had been using the duck farm as their den.
He said that they filed a case with Jhikargachha police station in this connection.聽
