The admission tests for the first year honours course at Rajshahi University under the 2024-25 academic session will be held in January 16–24 of 2026, said a press release issued on Monday.
The decision was made on Monday morning at a meeting of the university’s admission sub-committee, with vice-chancellor professor Saleh Hasan Naqib in the chair.
According to the announced schedule, the admission tests for the science group under ‘C’ unit will be held on January 16, followed by the humanities group under ‘A’ unit on January 17, while those of the commerce group under ‘B’ unit will take place on January 24.
Unlike previous years, there would be no shortlisting of applicants this year, the press release said, adding that tests would be conducted in two shifts – from 11:00am to 12:00pm and from 3:00pm to 4:00pm.
The tests will be held not only on the RU campus but also at public universities in Dhaka, Chattogram, Khulna, Rangpur and Barishal divisions to ease the pressure on the Rajshahi campus, it added.
