Bangladesh Open University vice-chancellor Professor ABM Obaidul Islam and treasurer Professor Abul Hasnat Md Shamim have participated in a four-day international conference on ‘blended learning in technical and vocational education and training’ in Chennai in India.
The event, jointly organised by NITTTR Chennai and CEMCA from October 6 to 9, brings together delegates from 12 countries to discuss modern approaches to blended and industry-linked learning, said a press release.
Professor Obaidul Islam said, ‘Blended learning is vital for equipping our youth with both academic and practical skills. This meeting will enhance BOU’s skills-based learning mission.’
Professor Shamim said, ‘Skills development requires international collaboration. We aim to learn sustainable models of education financing and management.’
During their visit, BOU pro-VC, education, Professor Dil Rowshan zinnat Ara Nazneen acts as VC and pro-VC, administration, Professor Saeed Ferdous as treasurer.
