Partners of Ganatantra Mancha, a combine of six political parties, on Saturday handed over initial lists of party candidates to the committee concerned for the forthcoming general election.
The central steering committee of the combine at a meeting held at the central office of Bangladesh Rastra Sanskar Andolan on Topkhana Road聽 received聽 the lists and formed a six-member committee to sort out and finalise the candidates.
The committee members are Abul Hassan Rubel, Abu Yusuf Selim, Kamal Uddin Patwoary, Didarul Bhuiyan, Shahidulla Kaiser and Akbar Khan.
Chaired by Rastra Saskar president and coordinator of the combine Hasnat Quaiyum, Nagarik Oikya president Mahmudur Rahman Manna, Revolutionary Workers Party general secretary Saiful Huq, Ganosamati Andolan chief coordinator Zonayed Saki, Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal-JSD senior vice president Tania Rob, Bhashani Onusari Parishad chairman Sheikh Rafiqul Islam Bablu, among others, attended the meeting.
