Bangladesh Nationalist Party central executive committee member and Bangladesh Bar Council executive committee chair Ruhul Quddus Kajal on Thursday said that the country’s young generation would be BNP’s main force in the future.
‘The BNP is firm in utilising the power of youth for the welfare of the country and its people,’ Kajal, also former Supreme Court Bar secretary, said while exchanging views with local journalists at Moheshpur upazila Dakbangla auditorium in Jhenaidah.
‘If BNP is elected by the people in the next election and gets the opportunity to govern the state, all the stakeholders of the July Uprising will work to build the country along with the political parties,’ he mentioned.
‘The main responsibility of a member of parliament is to enact laws. I hope that I will be able to do it properly, given my long experience in the legal profession.’
He also said that employment would be increased by developing small and medium industries in Kotchandpur, and initiatives would be taken to improve the security and quality of life of people living in bordering areas.
Kajal said that special attention would be paid to rural roads and healthcare. Besides, a modern and developed Jhenaidah-3 constituency would be created by involving the young generation in constructive politics.
He added that BNP would work to implement the aspirations of the July uprising, and after the formation of the government, a new Bangladesh would be built in light of the balanced development plan and the 31-point plan announced by Tarique Rahman earlier.
Jhenaidah Press Club president Asif Kajal, general secretary Aminul Islam Liton, former president M Raihan, Mizanur Rahman, along with journalists working in the district and upazila, and BNP leaders and activists were present.
