United International University’s economics department and UIU Junior Economists’ Forum jointly organised ‘UIU ECON Fest 2025’ on the campus in Dhaka on Monday.
The fest, a day-long contest in different segments, included a spirited quiz competition, inspiring speeches and a thrilling football match with learning, laughter, and lasting memories.
Mohammad Rafiqul Islam, managing director, United Finance PLC was present as the special guest in the ceremony, said a press release. Â
Among others, Professor Akhtar Hossain, chief economist, Bangladesh Bank, Professor M Akhtaruzzaman, former chief economist, Bangladesh Bank and Professor Ali Ashraf, economics department, UIU, spoke in the event. The programme began with a welcome speech by Professor Mohammed Omar Farooq, head of economics, UIU.

The faculty members, students, officials, academicians, government high officials, economic experts, journalists and other distinguished guests were present.
