Marking World Heart Day, Universal Cardiac Hospital organised a day-long ‘Free Heart Camp’ on its Mohakhali premises in Dhaka on Monday, providing specialised medical advice to around 500 patients.
The camp, running from 10:00am to 8:00pm, featured consultations from a team of eminent cardiologists and cardiac surgeons, said a press release.Â
To broaden its reach, satellite camps were set up at the offices of daily Prothom Alo and Mohakhali’s SKS Shopping Mall, with additional street camps and a cardiac caravan touring the city to raise public awareness about heart disease.
The hospital also held a parallel free heart camp for local residents at Universal Medical Services Limited on Jail Road in Brahmanbaria.
