Three students who achieved the highest CGPA in groups A, B and C of the postgraduate examination of the department of Islamic history and culture of Dhaka University have been awarded the Professor Habiba Khatun Trust Fund scholarship.
Dhaka University vice-chancellor Professor Niaz Ahmed Khan was present as chief guest at an event organised to hand over the scholarship cheques at the VC鈥檚 conference room on Monday.
Presided over by DU pro-VC, academic, Professor Mamun Ahmed, the event was attended by acting dean of the faculty of arts Professor ABM Siddiqur Rahman Nizami, acting chairperson of the department of Islamic history and culture Professor AKM Golam Rabbani, Trust Fund donor Professor Habiba Khatun and donor鈥檚 daughter Nahid Jamal.
The scholarship recipients are Md Towhidul Islam, Ishita Khatun and Sofa Ahmad.
