Chattogram district police rescued seven primary school students after they remained missing for 12 hours while travelling to Banskhali hills.

The rescued students are Mahtab Manjur, Abrar Uddin Ishraf, Akhteruzzaman, Kishore Das, Al-Zawahri, Md Jinan and Md. Sayed. All of them are students of Class V at the Model Government Primary School in the upazila, said Banshkhali police officer-in-charge on Saturday.


They were rescued at 5:00am from the Dhuilajhiri hilly area near Amena Park with the assistance of police and locals.

Seven students went for a walk in Amena Park on Friday afternoon. As evening approached, they lost their way and had to spend the night in the forest.

Chemon Ara, a guardian, said that they went missing while playing in the jungle. A general diary was lodged with the police station that night, and the police conducted an overnight operation and rescued them on Saturday morning.

Banskhali upazila nirbahi officer Mohammad Jamshedul Alam said that the seven missing student were rescued with the joint efforts. They had safely returned and reunited with their families.聽
