Janata Bank PLC on Thursday held its Chattogram Divisional Half-Yearly Business Branch Managers鈥� Conference at a local hotel in the city, said a press release.
Chairman Md Fazlur Rahman was present as chief guest at the conference.
Managing director Md Mazibur Rahman and deputy managing director Md Golam Mortuza were present as special guests.
The conference was presided over by Mahmudunnobi Mohammad Aurangzeb, general manager-in-charge of the bank鈥檚 Chattogram divisional office.
Executives and branch managers under the divisional office participated in the conference.
Before the conference, Md Mazibur Rahman inaugurated and conducted a session on financial literacy at Janata Bank Regional Staff College, Chattogram.
At the conference, Md Fazlur Rahman directed that before giving loans, it should be verified whether the customer has a mindset to repay the loan, and to disburse loans among good customers.
In addition, Md Mazibur Rahman advised to invest the collected deposits locally.
