Bangladeshi photojournalist Muhammad Mostafigur Rahman’s third solo photography exhibition, titled ‘Echoes of Peace’, is under way at the Save the People Auditorium, at the Peace Center in Queens, New York, USA.

The eight-day exhibition has been organised by the non-profit organisation Save the People in collaboration with the United Nations Association of USA-Queens Chapter, the Peace Center of USA and the Interfaith Center of USA to mark the International Day of Peace, says a press release.

The International Day of Peace, also officially known as World Peace Day, is a United Nations-sanctioned holiday observed annually on 21 September.

The exhibition comprises 40 photographs depicting the daily life and culture of diverse people and communities living in Bangladesh along with the country’s geographical beauty.

Mostafigur Rahman said that he tried to portray peace hidden within the lives of people, culture and natural landscapes of Bangladesh.

‘Peace is not merely the absence of conflict; it is the presence of justice, dignity, and human compassion. On this International Day of Peace, I hope my photographs serve as a reminder of that message,’ said Mostafigur Rahman.

The exhibition, which was inaugurated on September 20, will end on Saturday.
