ICC Bangladesh president Mahbubur Rahman visited Auckland during in September 5-9 along with a 5-member business delegation at the invitation of Auckland Business Chamber and ICC New Zealand.
The delegation held a meeting with Simon Bridges, ICC New Zealand secretary general and chief executive officer of Auckland Business Chamber on September 8, said a press release.
The ICCB business delegation included ICCB vice-president AK Azad, DBL Group managing director Mohammed Abdul Jabbar, Uttara Group of Companies chairman and managing director Matiur Rahman, Saiham Cotton Mills Limited managing director Syed Ishtiaq Ahmed and ICCB secretary general Ataur Rahman.
They discussed possibilities of exporting RMG, pharmaceutical and leather products from Bangladesh to New Zealand as well as exploring investment opportunities.
ICCB president Mahbubur Rahman extended invitation to Bridges to visit Bangladesh with a business delegation to give the opportunity to further discuss on the prospect of increasing trade and investment between the two countries as well as arrange visit for the delegation to different industrial units and export processing zones.
