
A month-long entrepreneur development training programme titled ‘Entrepreneurship Development Program’ has been launched under an initiative of the Bangladesh Bank and in collaboration with Prime Bank PLC, said a press release.
The training aims to enhance the skills and business capabilities of entrepreneurs in the cottage, micro, small, and medium enterprise sector and strengthen participants’ business knowledge, managerial capacity and financial inclusion, enabling them to expand and sustain their businesses.
The programme has been initiated under the Bangladesh Bank’s Skills for Industry Competitiveness and Innovation Programme, a project of the Ministry of Finance.
A total of 25 entrepreneurs have joined the first batch of this training programme, which will be conducted by experienced trainers from the Bangladesh Bank and Prime Bank.
The inaugural session of the training was recently held at Prime Tower at Nikunja in the capital.
Bangladesh Bank executive director Husne Ara Shikha was present as chief guest.
BB additional director Nazrul Islam attended as a special guest.
Prime Bank deputy managing director M Nazeem A Choudhury chaired the inaugural session.
Also present were Prime Bank DMD and CRO Md Ziaur Rahman and DMD — operations Sajjad Haider Chowdhury.
M Nazeem A Choudhury said, ‘Prime Bank has always been committed to supporting SME entrepreneurs. Through this training programme, SME entrepreneurs will acquire the necessary skills to expand and strengthen their businesses.’
