
The Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited is scheduled to start running the metro trains by extending one hour of service time from Friday on pilot basis.
The company is planning to make it regular by this December.
Currently, metro train services start the first trip at 7:10am and the last trip at 9:40pm from Saturday to Thursday.Â
On Friday the first trip starts at 3:00pm and the last at 9:40pm.
Under the pilot, on the other days of the week the first trip will start at 6:40am and the last at 10:10pm while on Fridays the first trip will start at 2:30pm and the last at 10:10pm.
‘We will run the services by extending time on pilot basis for one or two weeks to increase passengers services,’ said the DMTCL managing director Faruque Ahmed.
He also said that the services could start running regularly with extended schedule by this December.
