Two siblings were stabbed and beaten to death allegedly by rivals at Utholi in Jibannagar upazila of Chuadanga district on Saturday.
The deceased were identified as Anwar alias Minto, 55, and Hamza, 45, sons of Khoda Box of village Utholi.
Quoting local people Mamun Biswas, officer-in-charge of Jibannagar Police Station, said Anwar and Hamza had been at loggerheads with one of their neighbors over selling cattle.
On Saturday morning, the neighbours of the two siblings attacked them near no 72 bridge of rail line at village Utholi at about 10:00am and stabbed them indiscriminately, leaving them injured.
One of them died on the way to Chuadanga Sadar Hospital while another died from his injuries at the hospital, said Wahid Mahmud Robin, duty doctors of Chuadanga Sadar Hospital.
Police are trying to arrest the attackers, said the OC.
