
The Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industries Corporation and the Daffodil International University held a joint committee meeting to implement the second memorandum of understanding 2024–2034 at the DIU in Dhaka on Thursday.
Md Saiful Islam, chairman of the BSCIC, was present as chief guest at the meeting, which was presided over by DIU vice-chancellor Professor MR Kabir, said a press release.
DIU pro–VC Professor Mohammad Masum Iqbal and registrar Mohammad Nadir Bin Ali and officials from BSCIC, including Shahiduzzaman, director, skills and technology; Khondkar Md Mushfiqur Rahman, director, marketing, design and handicrafts, among others, were present at the meeting.
The discussions focused on joint initiatives such as skills development, research collaboration, micro-credential programmes, entrepreneurship support, industrial training, and the creation of international opportunities for students.
Saiful Islam expressed confidence that the collaboration between BSCIC and DIU would serve as a strong bridge between industry and academia, accelerate innovation and make a significant contribution to Bangladesh’s sustainable economic development.
