Bangladesh Bank governor Ahsan H Mansur on Thursday laid emphasis on further strengthen the agricultural sector to build a prosperous future for the country.
鈥楢griculture must be advanced on a sustainable path through entrepreneurs鈥� skills, the ability to use technology, and financial support,鈥� he said.
Mansur made these remarks as the chief guest at a day-long training workshop titled 鈥楢gricultural Entrepreneur Gathering and Skill Development鈥�, organized by United Commercial Bank Limited (UCBL) at a conference hall of a hotel in Cox鈥檚 Bazar town.
UCBL Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Mohammad Mamdudur Rashid presided over the event.
Highlighting the immense role of agriculture in the national economy, the governor stressed the importance of creating entrepreneurs, developing skills, and providing financial patronage in the agricultural sector.
He noted that the country鈥檚 banking sector can play a crucial role in this regard.
