Southeast Bank PLC on Wednesday held its 30th annual general meeting on digital platform, said a press release.
Chairman MA Kashem presided over the meeting.
Among others, vice-chairperson Rehana Rahman, directors Jusna Ara Kashem, Duluma Ahmed, Nasir Uddin Ahmed, Khandker Badrul Hassan (risk management committee chairman), Md Rafiqul Islam (nominee of Asia Insurance PLC), Md Nurul Islam (nominee of Single Click IT Solution (Pvt) Limited), independent directors M Moyeen Alam Firozee (audit committee chairman) and Md Mozibur Rahman were present in the meeting.
Managing director (current charge) Abidur Rahman Chowdhury and company secretary Mamunur Rashid also participated in the AGM.
The bank鈥檚 sponsors and a large number of shareholders took part in the meeting.
The AGM discussed the bank鈥檚 operational performance. The bank earned an operating profit of Tk 11,721.29 million in 2024 (consolidated). As on December 31, 2024, the bank鈥檚 total deposits amounted to Tk 411,343.90 million and its total assets reached Tk 545,858.60 million, Earning Per Share was Tk 0.32 (consolidated), Net Asset Value per share was Tk 23.59 (consolidated).
The Price Earnings Ratio of the bank was 23.94 times in 2024.聽 The total Regulatory Capital reached Tk 41,582.09 million as of December 31, 2024. Its cost-to-income ratio stood at 38.83 per cent, as per the release.
Credit Rating Information and Services Limited rated the bank AA for the long term and ST-2 for the short term based on the audited financial statements up to December 31, 2024 and un-audited financial statements up to June 30, 2025 of the bank.
