South Point School and College, Baridhara has officially launched an International English Medium Section following British curriculum recently.

The new section, introduced at the start of the current academic year, has already garnered a strong response from parents, enrolling 120 students from Playgroup to Standard Five in its first quarter, said a press release on Tuesday.

South Point School and College principal Air Commodore (retired) Kazi Abdul Moin outlined the vision behind the

initiative. ‘Our goal is not to make students rote learners but to nurture them through enjoyable, reality-based, and pressure-free learning.’

The school authorities plan a phased expansion of the section, which will eventually include ‘O’ and ‘A’ Level programmes. Students from Grade Six onward will prepare for the Cambridge Checkpoint examinations.

The Baridhara branch celebrated a 100 per cent pass rate in the 2025 SSC examinations, with 140 out of 199 candidates securing the top grade of GPA-5. This success follows an equally impressive performance in the previous HSC exams, where all 36 science group students achieved GPA-5.
