The tenure of the National Consensus Commission has been extended again by one month.
A gazette notification on Monday night, signed by Cabinet Secretary Sheikh Abdur Rashid, said ‘the consensus commission will now continue its work until October 15’.
The seven-member commission formally began work on February 15.Â
As the commission’s objective to formulate the July National Charter on the basis of broader political consensus remained incomplete, the interim government first extended its tenure to September 15.
